I think that large group of semi naked strangers on the beach in close proximity to each other presents an amusing view. Being always interested in human bogy shapes I really enjoyed depicting such a variety. Studying in my early years in the art school I was taught anatomy of human figure based on an average or ideal proportions, which are almost impossible to find in real life...The further people's body shapes are from "an average", the more interesting and full of character I find them. 

The sketchers were made from real people on Mediterranean Sea resort in September 2007.
